Golden M. Barritt (1900-1999) was a Maple Grove, Wisconsin native who joined the Army at age eighteen, serving with Co. D, 117th Engineer Regiment, 42nd Infantry Division during World War I. His military service included combat experiences during the War and afterwards, as a part of the Army of Occupation. Barritt returned to Barron, Wisconsin and married his wife, Francis Foss, in 1923.
